Privacy and connectivityVPNs and IPTV viewing
Separate the privacy role of a VPN from content access and service terms.
What a VPN changes
A virtual private network encrypts traffic between your device and a VPN provider and changes the apparent network exit location. It can affect speed and routing, and requires trust in the VPN provider.
What a VPN does not do
A VPN does not grant rights to content, make an unauthorized stream lawful, or guarantee that a service will work. Follow the provider’s terms and the laws that apply in your location.
When troubleshooting
If playback stops while a VPN is active, compare a connection without it if that is allowed by your provider’s terms. Do not use network tools to evade geographic restrictions or other access controls.
