IPTV M3U and EPG explained

A short guide to playlist links and programme information in IPTV players.

What is an M3U playlist?

An M3U file or URL is a common playlist format that points a compatible player to media streams and channel labels. Your provider supplies the service-specific address or login details.

What does an EPG do?

An electronic programme guide adds schedule information to supported channels. Programme data can be incomplete or delayed depending on the source and player configuration.

Keep playlist links private

A playlist address may provide access to your account. Do not post it publicly, and ask your provider to replace it if you believe it has been exposed.

For setup steps, see the installation guide.
